Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using CricMatters, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. What CricMatters is
CricMatters is a platform for running cricket player auctions — tournament organizers create tournaments, players register, and captains bid in live auctions. CricMatters does not organize tournaments itself; it provides tools for organizers to run their own events.
3. Account responsibilities
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Organizers registering a player under 18 must have their parent or guardian’s consent.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You may not use the platform to send spam, impersonate others, or violate any applicable laws.
4. Email communications
By creating an account or being registered as a player, you consent to receive transactional emails (sign-in codes, registration confirmations) and, as a tournament participant, notification emails (auction alerts, match updates). Notification emails include an unsubscribe option.
5. Organizer responsibilities
Tournament organizers who import player data or send invitations are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authorization to do so. Organizers must not import data for individuals who have not consented to being part of their tournament.
6. Entry fees, prizes and payments
Some organizers charge an entry fee for their tournament or offer prize money. Those are arrangements between the organizer and the players, for a real cricket tournament played on a real ground. CricMatters only displays what the organizer entered — including any UPI ID or QR code, so you can pay them directly. We never collect, hold, escrow or transfer money, we take no commission, and we award no prizes. Auction purses, whether counted in points or in rupees, are figures the organizer sets inside the app; they are not a balance, cannot be deposited or withdrawn, and nothing can be cashed out.
Any dispute about a fee, a prize or an auction amount is between the organizer and the players. CricMatters sells no digital content, and nothing in the app is unlocked by payment.
7. Content rules
Names, photos, logos and other content you add must be yours to use and appropriate for a general audience. We have zero tolerance for abusive, obscene, hateful or unlawful content, or content that impersonates someone else.
Organizers can remove players and content from their tournaments at any time, and can mute a speaker in the auction voice room. Anyone listening can also block a speaker for themselves, from the voice room or from their profile. Anyone can report content that breaks these rules from the Help & Support page or the “Report content” link at the bottom of any public tournament or player page; we review reports promptly and remove content or accounts that break them.
8. Termination
You can stop using CricMatters and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or misuse the platform.
9. Limitation of liability
CricMatters is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any losses arising from your use of the platform, including auction outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
11. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of CricMatters after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
